Arenal volcano

View of Arenal volcano, the world's second or third most active volcano, with frequent pyroclastic eruptions. The most thrilling view is at night, the lava pouring down the N/W slope is clearly visible and is a spectacular show. The last major eruption was on May 22, 2003 when a part of the crater collapsed.
